Happy Forty Week Birthday, my little princess ...

everyone got in on the photo action today! Jericho loves having his picture taken with Zoey - especially when she "in" something (ie - the carseat) ... he'll run over and pose, just like this next pic!
... Liam must have been feeling left out, as happens on occasion, so he decided he was a baby and needed some pics too!

Nine month photos ...

finally! I took these yesterday, but I couldn't upload pics to the blog - it was weird - but it's working this morning, yay! Do not be fooled by the first pics - Zoey is no where near standing on her own ... in fact, she let go and plopped down - I lunged for her but not quick enough to stop the momentum! She plopped to a sit and continued to roll back and hit her head on the tv stand ... talk about feeling like a good mom (not to mention the whole comment on photos being "torture" - lol). She cried pretty hard, I know she would have cried either way - but the screaming from daddy probably didn't help (he got a bit angry at me, I think he thought I had sat her on top of the box or something?). The crying kinda reddened up her face - oh well, right!

Ahhh - memories.

She also doesn't sit on her own yet. She can balance if you get her in just the right position, you'll note in one of the pics that she's definitely supporting herself (and others she's totally leaning on the pillow) ... but I did have a pillow behind her just to keep her from falling back too hard or anything!

Happy Thirty-Nine Week AND Nine Month Birthday, my little princess ...

that's right ... her weekly AND monthly birthday fall on the same day!!! Now, don't think I'm not going to do "official" nine month pics ... but it just couldn't happen today! Me and my poor planning, I had a yard sale today! I'm terribly sore (shows how little I normally do, that getting boxes down the stairs, setting up/tearing down - WITH HELP ... and I'm beat! Of course, two nights of 5 hours sleep likely doesn't help either - since I'm used to getting more ... anywho) Have no fear Zoey ... I'll put you through the torturous ritual that I call "pictures" tomorrow - lol! I did want to note that little missy continues to rock herself and lift up into an almost crawling position ... and she's holding more and more seconds! She's been a chatter box this week and seems to be right on target for "stranger anxiety" ... faces that she doesn't see constantly (which is mama, daddy, the bubbas, and sissy) seem to be causing her some confusion and a couple of my friends have held her lately - she's fine for a bit and then makes the saddest little pout and starts to cry! I did snap a quick pic ... I have to have something from the actual day!

Happy Thirty-Eight Week Birthday, my little princess ...

so, yes - I'm a day late ... but here she is! New in her repertoire is some attempts at getting into a crawling position! So far it's only consisted of a second of actually being up ... but that she's even making the attempt is pretty big stuff around here! She's still a happy (even if whiny) little girl. I thought I should also record that she's still not eating much (when I actually feed her "solid" food ... I'm so not in the routine of that) but I think I'm going to switch from the brown rice to the "regular" and I'm introducing pear juice to help her digestion (hopefully). She's also had: applesauce, peaches, and squash so far. I'd say the times she's actually doing good and swallowing she still only ingests about a teaspoon ... I'll be addressing this with both the pediatrician at her nine month check-up; as well as the occupational therapist we'll be working with soon!

Happy Thirty-Six Week Birthday, my little princess ...

finally got some "eating" pics and decided to share! she's still iffy on the swallowing - her first bite tonight she did real good, she had the tongue action going and seemed to swallow so easily ... the rest was not so good - lol! I'd say we average about ten bites, and if I was guessing I'd say - on average - maybe 25% of the food actually gets swallowed! I guess we have a long way to go with the eating thing, but we'll just keep on with it!

In other news - yes, I'm a total blog slacker ... it's awful! I'm going to end up having a book that's basically just all of Zoey's "birthdays" by the time this year ends! Annicka, Jericho, & Liam - I promise, I've taken lots of photos of you ... I've just been horrible about carving out time for the blog! Maybe I'll do better here soon ... then again, maybe I won't (we know me, after all)!
