Happy Thirty-One Week Birthday, my little princess ...

not a whole lot new with little miss Zoey these days, she's still growing and she's still a happy little baby! we got the "report" from that clinic I took her to, and here's some interesting info:
Zoey was evaluated on five different development areas and this is how she "scored" -
cognitive: 5:10 months (5months, 10 days - age equivalent)
receptive communication: 9 months
expressive communication: 5 months
fine motor: 4:10 months
gross motor: 6 months
this is the first time anyone has been able to, essentially, tell us "here's where she's at". overall they seemed to think she was doing really well and are referring us to a clinic that does in-home therapy, which would be so much more convenient!

the only other "new" news would be that today we gave Zoey a bottle of formula, which she hasn't had since her very early days (and that was a very small) amount ... we decided to not mess around with milk based and just use soy right off. she didn't bat an eye over it (I thought she might make a face or something) and hasn't had any adverse reaction, so I think we're good to stick to a plan of one meal a day being formula - the reason for this is to keep her having breast milk longer, even if not exclusively.

so, here's some pics I just took - she was on the floor playing with daddy and Liam!

Happy Twenty-Seven Week Birthday, my little princess ...

I'm late by less than an hour - but, hey, it's getting done right! I'm noticing that it seems the only thing I'm sure to post lately is Zoey's "birthdays" ... perhaps I need to improve upon that! Anyhow, I bought what must be the most awesomest high chair known to man! I knew I wanted a full size high chair this time around, which is why I sold the one that went on a dining chair - a few yard sales ago! I, as usual, was having a hard time deciding ... until I spied this one on a trip to Babies R Us! Not a lot of color options, in fact, this was it at the store - but I decided not to obsess about that! It's just so cool - who cares about the color (and I do like red - and that's the only little piece that's not neutral anyway). I love it so much, you may hear about it again ... lol! But, putting aside the wonderousness of the high chair - how bout that cutie patootie who got her first sit in it today? (ok, technically yesterday) Not that she's eatings "solids" yet (why do they call pureed food solids anyway), but you know me - I have to be prepared - and I think she will be soon ... I'm basically just waiting to talk it over with the pediatrician to see if there's any reason I should wait a little longer! I love the "old man" grin that Zoey is perfecting these days ... hilarious! That girl can sure make me laugh!
