Happy Eighty-Two Week Birthday, my little princess ...

that darn sick bug really hit Zoey hard! last saturday I thought
we were quickly passing it, but it returned with a vengeance!
the fever ended up not actually being gone - it returned that evening.
it lasted a week and and two days total! and what started
as a virus turned into an ear infection and UTI!!!
poor little baby had to go to doc appointment, pee in a bag,
get blood work, and ended up on antibiotics!
she was finally having more happy time this day -
poor sweetheart!

after two weeks she finally was herself again, but the
eating (solid food) took a few days to get back
to where we were, in fact she's still catching up with that!
through it all, we could always see that it
seemed as though Zoey was trying to be happy -
even when all she could do was whine because she was so miserable!
poor little girl - it's so good to have her all better now!

Happy Eighty-One Week Birthday, my little princess ...

so, this saturday I was especially glad to get some photos
of a happy baby - Zoey has been sick since wednesday afternoon
and it's so sad to see her so puny and unhappy!
she's had a fever with some throwing up - which has
led to her eating no food since wednesdays lunch and not too
enthusiastic to drink a whole lot either ... thank
goodness she's actually a fan of pedialyte!

but, today, we finally began to see some smiles and her
sweet little self returning - if only for a few moments ... and during
one such happy moment, I snapped some quick pics!

one her "new" favorite things to do, fall backwards!
(if only she knew to look behind herself first,
as sometimes this "fun" doesn't turn out to be so)

here's the "kiss my butt" again - oh yes, it's a daily thing now!

Zoey should be a baby model, I don't know what would!

(aka: kiss my butt! ... cause sometimes it seems like
that's what she's really trying to say - lol)

and, yes, I was a day late -again- because I forgot to take a pic on the "real" day ... so I'm not perfect, give me a break!

Happy Seventy-Eight Week AND Eighteen Month Birthday, my little princess ...

I was hoping for some really "nice" eighteen month pics,
as it turns out - I love these!

I love the range they show and how
we get to see Zoey's personality ... she wasn't
feeling like having her photo taken
at that moment and was fighting me as I tried
to get her to sit still on the couch!

Albuquerque was really fun and Zoey even learned
a few new things ... we can now say "what's in
your mouth" and she'll point to her mouth
and open up OR put her finger in her mouth - too cute!
She also now pats her own bum ...
oh good, that makes number four with that
sort of humor! She got lots of
practice with her waving and does it generously now,
yay! She is also doing excellent with signing
"more" and now I'm working on "please".

I can't believe she's eighteen months already,
it's gone by so fast! she's doing so much now too -
love you little miss!
