Happy First Birthday, my little princess ...
can you believe that the only pics I snapped of my precious princess
on her real birthday were with my crappy 'ol point & shoot?
ugh.
maybe if I would pay attention, I would not be in this
predicament so much ... dead camera battery!
oh well.
it was still her official birth-day and I had to have something.
on friday Zoey was 28" long & 19lbs./3oz. - this time it was without the clothes/diaper!
I had to take her in, because she has a terrible cold/cough - poor baby.
she seems to be getting over it, though, praise the Lord.
I still can't believe she's a year old!
it's been such a year.
I've decided that I love doing her weekly birthday posts,
so -at least for now- I will continue!
yay!!!

Zoey is one year old!
one year ago, our lives were forever changed.
we added a fourth child to our family.
we welcomed a new baby daughter to the world.
we began a journey down a brand new road.
we learned how it feels to have a baby in the NICU.
we were reminded how precious every life is.
we were blessed.
I can't even go through our first year with Zoey ...
there's just so much to say!
we've been through so much - she's been through so much.
it's been crazy, calm, hectic, hilarious,
chaotic, peaceful, insane, wonderful, life changing ... blessed.
I feel very blessed.
as we said good-bye to 2010 I realized just how much
I have learned ... and also how much I still
have to learn. how far we still have to go with Zoey
as she continues to grow and become a
sweet little girl.
I pray that it will be a year of much progress.
I pray it will be a year of more peace.
I pray that I will be better.
am I the only mama who sometimes feels my children deserve much more?
my precious Zoey Grace - you are amazing.
you are beautiful.
you are precious.
I love you more with each passing day.
I hope we'll be buddies as you grow older, I already imagine us that way!
you are such a sweet and lovely little baby girl.

a year ago at about this time I was finally feeling a little relief as the shot in my back kicked in ... after about two hours of beggin for "something"! it didn't last long and I was soon in pain again, it was all worth it though!

Happy Fifty-One Week Birthday, my little princess ...
yesterday was a little busy! Nana & Granddaddy got here friday, we celebrated Jericho's birthday yesterday with a party, and today has been busy with church and errands ... and I'm just now remembering that I missed the fifty-one week post yesterday! so, better late than never!

Happy Fifty Week Birthday, my little princess ...
so, today I'm officially switching over to this blog only for the birthday posts! it's a big pain to have to import the entire other blog every week, to publish one post, then delete the rest ... so, I figured why not just make the switch? in fact, I'm even going to delete those posts from the other blog - for conservation purposes when I (ever) get 2010 printed! I plan to print Zoey her own birthday book ... so why have all the posts in more than one book - right?!
I can hardly believe that Zoey is just two weeks away from turning one! ONE. it's crazy. it's exciting. it's not feeling sad. maybe it's because she's still so little? maybe it's because she doesn't seem like a one year old? so maybe I'm not feeling like my "little baby" is gone yet? I'm excited for her party and had quite a fun morning the other day designing her cake! anyway, here she is this morning, I love her pajamas. LOVE.
Zoey had her one year check up yesterday! she was 19lbs 13.3oz (though, they are now weighing her with clothes/diaper on) and 27.6" long!

Happy Forty-Nine Week Birthday, my little princess ...
so, I had posted this and then was holding Zoey and asking her if she was ever going to get teeth ... her only response was a sweet smile - so I decided to stick my finger in there (as I often do, if you're a parent - you understand). at that moment the hubs told me he thought he had felt a tooth earlier. HOLD THE PHONE. Zoey was chewing on my finger and just as my finger tip was feeling a "break" in her bottom gums, my finger nail was feeling a tooth scraping along it!!! oh, you know what happened next - the wrangling and entertaining of said baby so parent can get a peek! Zoey has not one, not two, but THREE teeth emerging! one of those three, the top middle "right" (looking at her), is already through ... how did I miss that? so, yes - our little princess is nearly a year old ... but finally getting teeth. yay!!!
oh, so - yes - I had to return and "edit" the post to tell all about what I discovered!
